Change Default Browser is a free utility that changes your system´s default web browser.
This program can be used to set Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome or Opera as your default web browsers. When you install the program, it looks for the browsers installed in your system, and looks for the folders where the executable files can be found. But, if it cannot find the executables, you can still browse for the executable yourself, and tell the program to use any program.
Sometimes you will need to change the default browser in order to feel comfortable with your computer´s settings, but sometimes it will be a good way to fix problems related with the file associations in your system. Changing your default browser could fix those problems.
In order to use the program, you must close every browser in your system. The program will ask you to do so, and will not work if you don´t do this. After pressing the "Set as Default Browser" button, the program will apply the settings you have chosen. From that moment on, clicking on an hyperlink or on a HTML file will open your (new) default browser.
